If you’re in the market for a large comfy bag for your every day necessities, this project is perfect for you. Grab some fresh watermelon juice and let’s get workin’!

As promised I will do my best to start listing all the materials you need for my DIY projects. For this project you will need (You can always see if you have any of these items at home):
- Suede: 1 Yard/1 M
- Curb Link Chain: 10ft/ 3 M. (Link Size Approximatively 10x15mm)
- Revolving Hole Punch
- Embroidery Floss: 2-3 skeins
- Flat Nose Pliers
The bag measurements are very simple. I drew out a quick sewing pattern with all the dimensions. Don’t mind my architectural tick marks, that’s the only way I know how to do it since that’s what I went to school for:)  Click HERE to view the pattern.

DIY Runway: J.Crew Threaded Belts

Written by , Posted in DIY

Hey everyone,

DIY JCrew Threaded Belts_thumbanil

I’m going to start posting my video tutorials in step by step photo tutorial format as well because I know some of you really enjoy that. I spotted these beautiful J.CREW threaded belts at the store a few weeks back and instantly thought that I could recreate these at a fraction of the cost at home. It was a very simple yet incredibly tedious process. I would say have your favorite TV show in the background, it’s going to be a long yet relaxing afternoon.

blog post

STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

1. Tie a knott around the belt.
2. Secure the thread with tacky glue. This will also be your prepped surface for applying the thread.
3. Start rotating the belt making sure each thread lies nicely next to the previous one without overlapping.
4. Once you’re happy with the section of thread secure it by looping it through.
5. Secure the thread with glue and prep your surface with glue for the next thread section. Repeat the same steps.
**I also decided to add some studs, but feel free to leave the belt as it is. It is a beautiful hand crafted piece and will be sure to get you lots of compliments. I do all the time:)

Here is the video tutorial as well:

I hope you enjoyed and make sure to follow my blog via Bloglovin so you never miss a post!

Hey everyone,
Welcome to my very first style post on my freshly new blog. I wanted to thank you for all the comments and love from my previous two posts, I was seriously blown away!

While I was in Moldova I chopped off 4 inches of my hair and got this deep layered haircut. I really needed something that would give my hair some movement and volume, it’s just been long and blah for the last few years.
It’s so great to be back home here in Orange County! As much as I enjoyed visiting my family and friends these past two weeks, it feels so great to be back to beautiful sunny California. As soon as I got back I went to get lunch on the beach, shop for a new handbag and of course spend quality time with my hubby. I would also like to add that I missed air conditioning, a lot!

I’ve been absolutely enjoying high-waisted bottoms lately, very comfortable and flattering I might add. The cross-body chain detailing purse is perfect for all my summer necessities. I am resorting to a rather simplified style for the upcoming hot summer days. Can’t wait to keep documenting it here with you guys!
I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend and don’t forget to follow EvelinasFashionCafe on BlogLovin, so you know every time I post.

First TV interview & Chisinau Meet & Greet!

Written by , Posted in Lifestyle

Hello,

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Sunday! I am writing this as I ferociously fight through my now hopeless jetlag. It’s always been incredibly difficult to transition 10 hours forward, but this time it’s a bit heavier since I’m also battling a nasty cold. Nevertheless, as some of you know from my Twitter & Facebook, I decided to take an impromptu trip to Moldova to surprise my family for my birthday.

Besides the unexpected 85 degrees every day and miserable humidity, it’s been amazing to reconnect with my dear friends and family.
A few days ago I had the honor to be interviewed on Live Moldovan Television on one of my favorite channels actually Acasa, on which I watched all the Latin soap operas growing up. Let me know how I did, even though I know most of you won’t understand a word.

A lot of you have asked me about my hair and how I did it. It was actually professionally done at this beautiful salon in Chisinau called Feminim Dom. I was very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful service, yummy coffee and of course by how well the stylist did my hair. I asked for these deep vintage Hollywood waves, and she made all the magic happen.

I thought it would be a huge regret if I didn’t do a meet and greet while I was here. So here it is:

When: Saturday May 4th
What time: 5pm (17:00)
Where: Arcul de Triumf downtown

If you do decide to come please shoot me a quick email with the title “I’m coming to the Meet & Greet” to evelinabarry@gmail.com , OR comment below.
Hope to see you all there, pupici!:)

much love,
Evelina

Hello & Welcome

Written by , Posted in Lifestyle

Hello my beautiful barries,

If you’re here from my Twitter announcement or the Youtube video, leave me a comment below and say Hi, I’ll make sure to say Hi back as well:) I am still making a bunch of changes to the blog layout and design, but I figured I better start posting and not keep delaying this anymore.

I am very excited to announce the new and improved Evelina Barry blog. Some of you might be wondering where did evelinabarry.com go? Well it was a project that just never seemed to catch on and brought more frustration than fulfillment. It ended up being hacked after many months of trying to get it back up. Ever since that happened I just could not stop working and planning on creating a new blog. A blog that would document my fashion and lifestyle journey, and a blog without bugs and constant problems, a blog that would make me feel inspired before anyone. This is how EvelinasFashionCafe was born, not to be confused with my series on Youtube:) On this blog expect posts on all my DIY’s I create for my 1st and 2nd channel, styling, outfit posts, home decor and my life. All in all I hope you enjoy this and please follow me on BlogLovin, it’s a great way to keep up with your favorite blogs. It would also keep me motivated and inspired to create more content for my loyal followers:)

Thank you so much for dropping by!

much love,
Evelina
