Roller Derby & Pastel Highlights by Garnier

Written by , Posted in Lifestyle, Travel

Hello everyone,

A few weeks back I had the oportunity to work on probably one of the coolest project I’ve a chance to do since I started blogging. Garnier invited me to try Roller Derby with a professional team in Brooklyn and try out their new Color Styler Washout Color. You guys know how I feel about my unicorn hair, so I was more than excited to try out something that woudln’t be damaging to my hair and still achieve vibrant results. I loved how the hair turned out and it went perfectly with my crazy Hot Pink Roller Derby outfit. If you guys haven’t tried it, you definitely should, it’s a crazy leg workout!

A Classic Combo

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hello everyone,

It’s finally sweater weather here in Orange County, so I’ve been enjoying layering a little bit more. I’ve always heard the saying “Life gets better with a leather jacket”, but no one told me how much better life gets with a nicely tailored trench coat. I’ve been practically been sleeping in this thing for the last week. Since my style isn’t exactly classic I opted for a leather sleeve option that adds a more relaxed feel to the traditional trench. I’m really loving the combo between red and leopard- it just always works. The boots are also a new addition to my closet which create a nice calf silhouette due to the mixing mediums of the construction.

Thank you so much for reading! P.S. Congratulations to Joelle the Phillip Lim for Target handbag winner. Thank you so much for everyone who entered, there will be plenty more giveaways in the future so don’t be sad:)

Cobalt Blue & Nautical Flare

Written by , Posted in Fashion

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

As some of you know from Twitter I am getting ready for a UK trip (more details soon). Therefore we’ve been running around like crazies to get all the documents together in order to get a VISA. Yep us Eastern Europeans can’t go to any European Union country without a VISA and a serious security check. I guess the world doesn’t trust us:)

Since I had all these errands and interviews I had to wear something comfortable yet presentable. Remember, anytime you travel or you have to receive an important document, image is everything. People will always treat you better if you look put together, that’s just the world we live in. I opted for a lightweight flare dress with playful nautical stripes. The accessories are minimal with a touch of cobalt blue at the shoes. A couple days ago I got to see my gorgeous friend Leyla in LA. It’s so nice to have people in your life that inspire you to be the best version of yourself.

Floral Details & Tangerine Bottoms

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hello my beautiful readers! This outfit is freshly delivered to you from my LA trip last weekend. Unless you haven’t stepped into the ground of social media yet, you probably know that last weekend was Generation Beauty- an event for all beauty and (somewhat) fashion lovers that make or watch youtube content. My friends and I decided to make it a mini getaway and got a hotel room downtown LA for the weekend.

Lately I’ve been really enjoying playing with print and texture juxtaposition to create efortless eye-catching looks. I prefer pairing that with dainty jewelry to add the right touches without creating unnecessary busyness.

Lastly, a photo of me and my beautiful friend Ann. We had the honor to get a snapshot by a very nice LAPD officer guarding the “dangerous” streets of downtown LA.

Acid Wash & Structured Sandals

Written by , Posted in Fashion

I hope everyone is having a great week so far. I’m on a roll with the blog posts, so happy to be back in the blogging world. Although I absolutely enjoy doing DIY projects, I would like to keep outfit posts as the main focus of the blog, so you guys can see how my style grows and evolves.

I’m loving the construction of these shoes. They have a very industrial feel to them and the thick comfortable wooden heel makes you forget you’re wearing heels. Because of the layered architecture of the shoe I can pair them with both a very elegant outfit or just jeans and a T. The only problem is that they’re a bit tight at the toe region, so my feet feel very sore at the end of the day. I paired the acid wash dress that was gifted to me by my good friend Ann with a camo studded wrap belt to keep the waistline and toughen up the look. I love the combo of acid wash and camo.

My Wall of Frames

Written by , Posted in DIY

Ever since I dreamt oh having an office I knew I wanted a frame collage to showcase my watercolor illustrations and beautiful photos that inspire me. I collected some frames from thrift shops, TJMaxx and even Ikea and decided to finally and turn my boring wall into a cheerful eclectic collage.
beautiful mess

I started by laying out the frames to figure out the general layout and pick out which frames I want to spray paint. Then I laid them out on newspaper and spray painted them with two coats.

To have a good idea of how the collage is going to look on the wall I cut out the shapes of my frames and taped them to the wall. This will also help you place the nails in the right spots without measuring. After I placed the cutouts where I though it looked good, I started hammering the nails right onto the newspaper, then after removing the paper, I hanged my beautiful frames.

And Voila!

Thanks you so much for reading and don’t forget to follow my blog through Bloglovin!

DIY Stella McCartney Falabella

If you’re in the market for a large comfy bag for your every day necessities, this project is perfect for you. Grab some fresh watermelon juice and let’s get workin’!

As promised I will do my best to start listing all the materials you need for my DIY projects. For this project you will need (You can always see if you have any of these items at home):
- Suede: 1 Yard/1 M
- Curb Link Chain: 10ft/ 3 M. (Link Size Approximatively 10x15mm)
- Revolving Hole Punch
- Embroidery Floss: 2-3 skeins
- Flat Nose Pliers
The bag measurements are very simple. I drew out a quick sewing pattern with all the dimensions. Don’t mind my architectural tick marks, that’s the only way I know how to do it since that’s what I went to school for:)  Click HERE to view the pattern.

Here is the video tutorial and if you decide to give this project a try tag your creation #DIYRunway on Instagram and Twitter. Also follow this blog via Bloglovin so you don’t miss a post.

High Waisted Comfort

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hey everyone,
Welcome to my very first style post on my freshly new blog. I wanted to thank you for all the comments and love from my previous two posts, I was seriously blown away!

While I was in Moldova I chopped off 4 inches of my hair and got this deep layered haircut. I really needed something that would give my hair some movement and volume, it’s just been long and blah for the last few years.
It’s so great to be back home here in Orange County! As much as I enjoyed visiting my family and friends these past two weeks, it feels so great to be back to beautiful sunny California. As soon as I got back I went to get lunch on the beach, shop for a new handbag and of course spend quality time with my hubby. I would also like to add that I missed air conditioning, a lot!

I’ve been absolutely enjoying high-waisted bottoms lately, very comfortable and flattering I might add. The cross-body chain detailing purse is perfect for all my summer necessities. I am resorting to a rather simplified style for the upcoming hot summer days. Can’t wait to keep documenting it here with you guys!
I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend and don’t forget to follow EvelinasFashionCafe on BlogLovin, so you know every time I post.

I am very excited to announce the new and improved Evelina Barry blog. Some of you might be wondering where did go? Well it was a project that just never seemed to catch on and brought more frustration than fulfillment. It ended up being hacked after many months of trying to get it back up. Ever since that happened I just could not stop working and planning on creating a new blog. A blog that would document my fashion and lifestyle journey, and a blog without bugs and constant problems, a blog that would make me feel inspired before anyone. This is how EvelinasFashionCafe was born, not to be confused with my series on Youtube:) On this blog expect posts on all my DIY’s I create for my 1st and 2nd channel, styling, outfit posts, home decor and my life. All in all I hope you enjoy this and please follow me on BlogLovin, it’s a great way to keep up with your favorite blogs. It would also keep me motivated and inspired to create more content for my loyal followers:)

Thank you so much for dropping by!
