New York:: Photo Diary & Love Letter

Written by , Posted in Travel

Steaming lattes, foggy Manhattan, multicolored rain coats, posh restaurants and perhaps the never ending chaos- still got me wondering what is it that has me so perpetually in love with the city.  It’s a place where you step out of your apartment not knowing what’s going to happen, or who you’re going to meet that’s going to turn your life upside down. It’s like a first love, despite of who you meet or discover, it will forever and ruthlessly have a hold of your heart. New York makes you feel like you’re inevitably doing something profound, all while being an insignificant pawn on a chessboard that never sleeps. Like a true beauty it’s so effortlessly photogenic, it virtually cannot take a bad photo. I love you New York, thank you for being enchanting, challenging, seductive and endlessly chaotic. I am still wearing that smile you gave me.

Long time no post. SO happy to finally get out of the holiday funk and get back into posting outfits and videos. This look is a perfect combo for the California weather right now, not warm enough to wear a t-shirt, but you can easily sport sandals. I really enjoy pairing graphic sweaters and tees with everything this season. I’m particularly a huge fan of typography- it’s so chic! I also can’t get enough of this pastel fuzzy jacket, it’s so cuddly and creates a beautiful cozy texture to any look.

What will you wear to Amsterdam Fashion Week?

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hello everyone,

I don’t think I ever shared with you the emotion I felt inside a few months back when I got the opportunity to attend NYFW.  My first fashion show felt surreal. As I got a bare glimpse of the luxurious flowing gowns from behind the lady with broad shoulders, I couldn’t believe my eyes that I was there in the middle of a real fashion show that was strangely muted by the flickering cameras sounding like angry crickets. That was the moment that made all those sleepless nights editing videos, sewing jewels and designing jewelry worth it. I felt like I was part of something beautiful, even though I could barely see what was going on. It was so special to me.

I was invited to participate in a competition to win a trip to Amsterdam Fashion Week, to which of course I said I would do my best to make a contribution. This look is something I would wear to the event, expect I would probably add some tights and layers to make sure I don’t freeze. I combined the flouncy houndstooth skirt with a relaxed silk cami and topped it off with my favorite structured leather jacket. The gloves are a touch of jeweled femininity that bring the vision of the look to completion.

Seeing your dreams turn into reality is magical and incredibly rewarding. I’ve always said that if my dreams don’t scare me they’re not big enough. I would love to one day attend European Fashion weeks like Amsterdam Fashion Week and just sit down with my camera and take pictures of all the beautiful street style.
Thank you Fashionchick for this wonderful opportunity. Be sure to check out Fashionchick to get a peek of all the latest and greatest in the fashion industry.

Hi everyone,

In this post we tried to capture the vibrant color of the city. Literally every single spot in Manhattan is picture perfect, even the construction sites.988C2606

I’m totally digging the 90′s flannel around the waist look combined with thick heels- very effortless chic and perfect for roaming around the city. Thank you so much for all the kind comments on the previous post, you are all very appreciated!

New York: Torn by Ronny Kobo & Twenty Tees Showroom

Written by , Posted in Fashion, Lifestyle

Hey guys!

While in New York we got invited to drop by the Torn by Ronny Kobo and Twenty Tees showroom to browse through the Fall collections and pick out a few pieces. I felt like a little kid in a candy store. The showroom was filled with silky prints, rich textures, heavy knit sweaters, structured coats and of course vibrant bags and clutches. After looking for what it seemed like an eternity I finally narrowed down my choices to two sweaters, a blazer and a purse. I’m not going to reveal my choices just yet, but stay tuned for outfit posts featuring the pieces very soon!

Even amongst the busiest of days it’s important to find a few moments to recollect your thoughts and get away from the noise, even if it’s just for a quick glimpse. Before hoping back on the subway to change for the fashion shows, we decided to take a little break and just sit down in Central Park and reflect. I brought my little travel journal and documented the day by placing freshly taken polaroids and quotes. It was sought of a magical moment, the calm before the storm that was Fashion Week.

New York: Lace Inserts & Jewels

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Good morning Upper East Siders,

This week brings you the most enticing tales of angelic lace, high shoulder pads and perfectly sleeked hair- that’s right it’s Fashion Week time! Alright, I know I might have been watching a little too much Gossip Girl lately, but I most certainly had my Serena Van Der Woodsen moment yesterday.

Yesterday I had the honor to observe the backstage madness preparation that goes before a fashion show. I was lucky enough to take a peak and interview the artists and masterminds behind the Lela Rose show. I absolutely loved the gold flakes incorporated in the teased-up hair chignons, very whimsical!
We are so blessed and happy to be here and I can’t wait to share the rest of the journey with you!

Hey everyone,

Never thought I would complain about California weather, but the last few weeks it has been a humid hell. My mind is just so ready to ditch the crop tops and jelly sandals and transition into glorious fall layering goodness. Despite the crazy heat outside I still went for it, if the heart wants- the heart gets. I love the juxtaposition of the white typography on the sweater with the spiky jeweled necklace. I finally acquired the perfect ripped boyfriend jeans while at my regular strolls through Zara, and have been wearing them non-stop ever since.
As I type this, my chest is feeling with uncontainable excitement with every breath I take. I AM GOING TO FASHION WEEK! You guys have no idea how long I’ve waited for this moment. Ok, I’m off to pack my bangs, see you in New York ladies!
