Coffee Break With Racquel

Written by , Posted in Fashion, Lifestyle

Hello everyone,

Today’s blog post is a little collaboraiton we shot with my dear friend Racquel who I met at EDCLV last summer. Between the craziness of no phone reception and massive crowds I somehow managed to spot her backstage as we’ve been chatting to meetup on twitter for a while. I love that feeling when you meet a new friend and you just know that you’re going to hit it off. We thought why not to get together and shoot something for the blog while sipping on delicious coffee and exploring the streets of Hollywood.

I’ve been LIVING in this leather jacket and wanted to keep my outfit simple by wearing a long distressed minimal tee and add a pop of color with a cross-body bag.

I hope you enjoyed this little post and beautiful photography by Jonathan Yacoub. Make sure to also drop by Racquel’s blog to read Part 2 of our adventure and leave her some love:) Let me know if you’d like to see more collaborations like these in the future!

Roller Derby & Pastel Highlights by Garnier

Written by , Posted in Lifestyle, Travel

Hello everyone,

A few weeks back I had the oportunity to work on probably one of the coolest project I’ve a chance to do since I started blogging. Garnier invited me to try Roller Derby with a professional team in Brooklyn and try out their new Color Styler Washout Color. You guys know how I feel about my unicorn hair, so I was more than excited to try out something that woudln’t be damaging to my hair and still achieve vibrant results. I loved how the hair turned out and it went perfectly with my crazy Hot Pink Roller Derby outfit. If you guys haven’t tried it, you definitely should, it’s a crazy leg workout!

Jersey Dress & Sneakers

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hey loves,

I was reading some cheesy quotes on Pinterest the other day and came across this quote by Chanel: “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” I originally had a jacket, a hat and a chambray shirt tied around my waist with this outfit. I took Coco quite literally and took all the extra layers off and discovered that this was the “golden means” I was missing out on when I was trying so hard to make the look more elaborate or “interesting” . Dress, sneakers and a body chain. It’s just as simple as that sometimes.

Paneled Jacket & Punch of Sparkle

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. Just wanted to stop by and add little sparkle into your day. This look is an assortment of sparkly goodies and metallic textures. I am and will always be a strong believer in the classic leather jacket, but this paneled beauty with structured tailoring is my new favorite. It’s still quite warm here in Southern California, so I can’t treat you to too many warm outfits yet, but hopefully the sweater weather is almost here!

Watercolor Prints & Chambray

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hello my beautiful readers! This has been kind of my to-go summer look. It’s simple, light weight and goes with pretty much any occasion. This was taken a little while back at the Gen Beauty event in LA, for which we got to stay downtown LA for a couple of days. Prior to that I never actually got to explore DTLA and I thought it was quite beautiful. You can discover new places to eat, museums and of course beautiful architecture.

I love the watercolor print on the skirt, it creates a feminine aery feel. While making it less versatile of a pairing, the embroidery on the chambray of reminds of Dolce Gabbana motifs. I love mismatched prints, it’s one of my favorite trends for this summer.

Utility Peplum & Striped Bodysuit

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Happy Monday everyone!

Recently I had the opportunity to speak at a panel for the Youtube Fashion Night Out event. I have never spoken at a panel before so I was a little nervous about whether I was going to say something silly or jumble up my thoughts like I do sometimes. I have this thing where I start another point/thought before finishing the previous one. Thankfully, I did a pretty good job and really enjoyed the fun and relaxed crowd. I did think it was kind of funny explaining Bloggers the difference between Youtube and Blogging. Most of the people in the auditorium didn’t even know what a TAG was, which is something that is so 2nd language to us Youtubers. I’m sure I don’t know a lot things about blogging either since I’ve only been doing it consistently for a little over a month:)

A few days before the event I got an email that Bebe was working with Youtube for the event and had offered to dress all the panelists. We had so much fun strolling around the store and picking out pieces for the event. I’ve always been a huge fan of how well-fitting Bebe clothes are so I was excited to put together this look. While searching around the store, I had a sudden realization that I’ve been constantly wearing baggy tops for the last few years and they never made me feel sexy and confident. So I decided to go for this bodycon leotard and topped it off with a peplum utility jacket for an added effortless flare.  From now on I going to make a decision to purchase clothes at flatter and accentuate my figure opposed to hiding it.

I have a question for you. What is a piece of clothing that gives you the most confidence? Thank you for reading!

Orlando Trip Instamix

Orlando Instamix

Hey everyone,

Recently Daniel and I got invited to Orlando for an early screening of the Despicable Me 2 movie. Along with that we got to tour the Universal Studios, see the Blue Man Group and stay at this really beautiful hotel called Lowes Portofino. We were greeted with the cutest Despicable me goodies in our room and the whole weekend was just a blast- a much needed break before opening our store. The three biggest highlights of the whole trip where: touring the park with a Universal Studios guide and skipping ahead of all the lines, trying an authentic Krusty Burger for the first time and of course seeing the Despicable ME 2 movie. The movie come out July 3rd so if you haven’t seen the first one yet, definitely watch it and be prepared for cuteness overload! It’s such a fun heart-warming story!
Let me know if you like these types of posts and if you would like a weekly update post of my Instagrams- I’d be happy to do that!:)

EASY AS 1-2-3: How To Shrink Shoes

Written by , Posted in DIY

easy as 1-2-3-shoes

you will need

Happy Monday!
Today I’m going to show you how I shrunk my shoes. I found these gorgeous Miu Miu ballerinas at my local buffalo exchange, and although they were a size too big I just couldn’t pass them on. I found this method to be very quick and effective. You will need: water, a blow drier and leather conditioner.

Step 1: Carefully wet the sides of your shoes without getting it on the sole.
Step 2: Blow-dry . Repeat the steps back and forth until you achieve the desired results.
Step 3: Apply leather conditioner to preserve the longevity of your shoes and pamper them after the blow-dry.
* Tip: This will only work of leather shoes, otherwise they might just melt and you will be very sad.

P.S. Video tutorial here in case you need more help:)

Floral Details & Tangerine Bottoms

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hello my beautiful readers! This outfit is freshly delivered to you from my LA trip last weekend. Unless you haven’t stepped into the ground of social media yet, you probably know that last weekend was Generation Beauty- an event for all beauty and (somewhat) fashion lovers that make or watch youtube content. My friends and I decided to make it a mini getaway and got a hotel room downtown LA for the weekend.

Lately I’ve been really enjoying playing with print and texture juxtaposition to create efortless eye-catching looks. I prefer pairing that with dainty jewelry to add the right touches without creating unnecessary busyness.

Lastly, a photo of me and my beautiful friend Ann. We had the honor to get a snapshot by a very nice LAPD officer guarding the “dangerous” streets of downtown LA.
Thank you for reading and don’t forget to follow this blog via Bloglovin- a great way to keep up with your favorite bloggers!
