On a busy day filled with meetings I like to wear something a lady boss would wear but also have the versatility of dressing out in case I need to meet up with my friends after- hence the white denim tie-around. The look is fairly minimal and neutral with a few holographic mermaid details. This Urban Outfitters clutch is gold since it fits just my necessities like phone, cards, car key & Chapstick; which makes it perfect for running around. I came to the realization that I hate big purses, so all I wear is either a tiny cross-body or a leather backpack. Speaking of leather backpacks, let me know if you guys would like a post on sharing my favorite ones! Hope you guys are having a fabulous week!

I hope everyone is enjoying their first official days of summer. Whoohoo! On most days I dress comfy with a touch of elegance. For this look I combined a flouncy pleated skirt and a mirrored tropical print sweatshirt. The fringe backpack is the pop of color that makes the look that much more fun. I also scored these adorable subtle cameo print sneakers at a Nike sale- I’m obsessed! Yay for effortless days!

Recreating the Runway:: Alexander Wang & Forever21

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hey everyone,

Today I’m doing something a little bit different on the blog. One of my all time favorite designers is Alexander Wang and his latest Spring/Summer 2014 collection is still playing in my head like a fresh soundtrack. I’m mesmerized by the clean lines, crisp silhouettes and of course abundance of structure. I thought I would pick out a few pieces from Forever21 to recreate the vibe from the recent collection to provide some inspiration for those who can’t afford the real deal, but really love the signature look. Enjoy!

My personal favorite from the look would have to be the shoes. I picked them out because I thought they had that strappy edgy look that Alexander Wang shoes have and they’re super nice, as they’re real leather. Thanks so much for reading and I hope your’e having a fantastic week!

I was reading some cheesy quotes on Pinterest the other day and came across this quote by Chanel: “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” I originally had a jacket, a hat and a chambray shirt tied around my waist with this outfit. I took Coco quite literally and took all the extra layers off and discovered that this was the “golden means” I was missing out on when I was trying so hard to make the look more elaborate or “interesting” . Dress, sneakers and a body chain. It’s just as simple as that sometimes.

Baroque Jacket & Mixed Metals

Hello everyone,

With Spring in full swing I got to update my wardrobe with a few essentials that I will keep recycling over and over for the upcoming season. I love the baroque detailing on the jacket mixed with leather and lace. The shoes are the strappy chunky sandal I’ve been searching for months. I wanted some comfy chunky heel sandals for every day wear that would also go with everything, so I pretty much screamed when I saw these on Net-a-Porter!

Ever since Coachella I’ve been obsessed with head pieces and body chains. Body chains on flowy summer dresses are the ultimate mix of edgy and bohemian. And last but not least I wanted to honor the piece that brings the whole look together. I’ve been eyeing this beauty for a while now. Since I don’t like to wear big purses I was looking to invest in a small versatile purse, so after months of endless research I went with the mixed metals 3:1 Phillip Lim Pashli. It’s just so great since it’s a mixture of gunmetal, gold and silver and can go with every piece of jewelry possible. It’s also an edgy statement to break up any overly feminine look.

High-Waisted Throwback:: GUESS Originals

Hello everyone,

I’ve always been a fan of iconic 80′s elements like crop tops, bright colors and of course cropped high- waisted denim. I am kind of obsessed with the  GUESS Originals collection, which is a modern take on the iconic GUESS jeans from the 80′s. So I thought I would style a timeless piece such as the high-waisted denim pant. High-waisted jeans create a flawless silhouette and I find myself reaching for them over and over. This particular pair fits like a glove and it’s the comfortable soft denim I’ve been reaching for over and over in my wardrobe. I love experimenting with edgy and risqué looks, but sometimes it just feels nice going back to the basics.

City Grunge: Teddy Coat & Crisp Whites

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hey lovelies,

Another post from NYC. If you’re a New Yorker you might find this funny, but I think I “discovered” a gem. High Line park is a 1.5 mile long elevated park that really lets you see the city’s quirky architecture. I can only imagine the beauty during spring time, but for now this heavy coat and layers will do. We tried to capture a grungy look, all while getting soaked in the rain. Enjoy!

Postcard From NYC:: Vivid Hues

Hello everyone,

One thing that is absolutely incredible about what I do is that I never know where I can end up next week. This week I bring you with me to New york city, yet again.

Even though Spring hasn’t quite yet arrived to the city, I wanted to play with some bright contrasting hues to liven up the mood. This trench coat is one of my recent proud acquisitions. I call it the power piece as it can add a polished touch to any look. As the saying goes, never underestimate a woman with an architecture degree and a tailored trench coat. Yup, totally made that up.

Caged Skirt & Power Shoulders

Written by , Posted in Fashion

Hello everyone,

Do you ever just wake up and feel like wearing something strong and empowering? Last week I had the honor to join Vanity Fair for the V.F. Social Club Oscar screening party in Hollywood, so I wanted to wear something bold with a twist of power woman. I love mixing typography with intricate metal detailing- gives it a modern day warrior flair.
